Volunteer!
Each year, volunteers dedicate hundreds of hours working with Calypso’s educational programs and helping out on the farm. We could not do this work without the support of these members of our community. We welcome volunteers of all ages and would love to have you join us!
Farm Discovery Program

The Farm Discovery Program is an educational volunteer program. During a free training session, you'll learn all about the farm and surrounding boreal forest and then get the opportunity to share what you've learned by volunteering as a Farm Discovery Guide during field trips and community events.

Open to ALL ages! Anyone interested in learning more about the farm and sharing that knowledge with others is welcome, including youth, senior citizens and everyone in between. Families are encouraged to volunteer together! Ages 12 and under should be accompanied by a parent.

Availability: We are always in need of volunteers who are available on week-day mornings, which is when most of our field trips take place. This is the perfect volunteer opportunity for community members who are retired, homeschooled teens, college students, or homeschool families volunteering together.

Spring Training Date: April 19th, 9 to Noon and then guides have the option to stay from 12:30 to 1:30 for a fiber crafts focused training! Please feel free to bring a lunch and stay to learn more about how to lead groups in wet felting wool and using twisty sticks for spinning yarn!

If you aren't available during the week but are still interested in getting involved, please reach out! We also look for Farm Discovery Guides to help with our public events!
