Along with a neighborhood steering committee, Calypso operates the Southside Community Farmers Market, a seasonal outdoor market featuring locally grown & produced food in South Fairbanks.
Open every Tuesday from June - September | 4-6:30pm
24th Ave & Rickert Street
Launched in 2015, the Southside Market is a friendly, community-focused farmer's market offering veggies, eggs and other food and farm-based goods from local producers.
Follow the Southside Market on Facebook for weekly updates during the summer!
Community Meals are free weekly dinners offered at the Market that are open to everyone! Whether you're a market customer, Southside neighborhood resident, or just in need of good company, please join us for a delicious group meal this summer!
By bringing together the neighborhood and greater community, our hope through Community Meals is to empower and support our customers, vendors, farmers, and neighborhood residents by providing nutritious & simple meals that showcase local ingredients and are easy to recreate in a home kitchen!
2024 Community Meals: In partnership with our friends at Bread Line, Community Meals will be offered every week during the 2024 Market season! Meals will be during the market on Tuesdays from 4-6pm, starting in mid-June through September.
