Beginning Spinning
Learn how to create your own yarn! No previous experience is necessary!
This workshop includes two sessions:
Sunday, May 15th 3pm – 5:30pm
Sunday, May 22nd 3pm – 5:30pm
This series of workshops will introduce students to spinning yarn on a spinning wheel. The classes will cover an overview of how the spinning wheel works, preparing fiber for spinning, how to spin a continuous yarn and how to create a balanced 2-ply yarn. Students will be encouraged to practice between classes and will gain the foundation of experience needed to go on to become a versatile spinner!
