Farm Discovery Program
Become a Guide in the Farm Discovery Program

Due to COVID-19, our in-person Farm Discovery trainings are cancelled for the 2021 season. For other on-farm family education programs, consider scheduling a farm field trip or enrolling in summer camp! For at-home learning options, check out our at-home activity kits!

The Farm Discovery Program is a free educational program for all ages. Farm Discovery Guides learn all about the farm and surrounding boreal forest and then share what they’ve learned with school aged children on farm field trips and with the public at community events.

Who are Farm Discovery Guides? Anyone interested in learning more about the farm and forest and sharing with others is welcome! Youth and senior citizens are encouraged to become guides. Youth aged 6-12 should be accompanied by a parent.

When you sign up to become a guide in the Farm Discovery Program, you are eligible to participate in all Farm Discovery Training topics. Trainings are designed to provide guides with skills and information in a way which prepares them to share what they’ve learned with others.

Trainings will be offered on a regular schedule from April through August.

At-Home Activity Kits

Due to COVID-19 and the postponement of this program, we've created a series of at-home activity kits, inspired by the themes of the Farm Discovery Program! These kits were created with elementary school ages in mind but include activities that the whole family can enjoy.
