Farm Discovery Program
The Farm Discovery Program is an educational volunteer program for all ages. You'll learn all about the farm and surrounding boreal forest during a free training session and then share what you've learned by volunteering as a Farm Discovery Guide during field trips and community events!
Who are Farm Discovery Guides?

Anyone interested in learning more about the farm and sharing that knowledge with others is welcome!

ALL AGES! Youth, senior citizens, and everyone in between are encouraged to become guides, and families are encouraged to volunteer together! Ages 12 and under should be accompanied by a parent.

Availability: We are always in need of volunteers who are available on week-day mornings, which is when most of our field trips take place. This is the perfect volunteer opportunity for community members who are retired, homeschooled teens, college students, or homeschool families volunteering together!

If you aren't available during the week but are still interested in getting involved, please reach out! We also look for Farm Discovery Guides to help with our public events!

At-Home Farm Discovery Kits

In the early months of the pandemic, we created a series of fun & educational activity kits for families to explore together at home! Inspired by the themes of the Farm Discovery Program, these kits were created with elementary school ages in mind but include activities that the whole family can enjoy!

Each kit includes an informational booklet to start your journey, a craft, a game, an outdoor activity, a recipe, and a challenge to learn something new.
